someone who doesn’t watch RWBY, explain what’s going on in this screenshot.
First we must examine the title RWBY which stands for “Radical Wearing Boots Yeah”. In this moment the girl in the white just got new boots and is showing her friends the great grip her boots have. She also runs a snowboarding resort in the mountains and is proposing “Chair Boarding” as a new wintertime sport. The orange-y girl is smitten not only by the girl in the white, who she is in love with, but also by the remarkable grip on her boots. The orange-y girl’s boots don’t have nearly as much grip and she cannot even stand up straight. The girl in the red is less concerned with the sport than she is with the chair itself, as this is her room (which is obvious by the massive amount of red) and it is the only chair in the room. She lived through a chair-less room before and lived, for which she won her merit patch belt buckle “The Chairless Life” which is lavishly adorned on with the absence of a chair. She does not want to live in a chair-less room again, but she trusts her friend. The girl in the black is not actually looking at the girl in the white, but at the precariously hanging bed in the background which belongs to the girl in the white. She cannot actually see the girl in the white because she blends in with the white blanket draped over the bed. She is unimportant in this screenshot as you cannot see her boots.
This is the best one everyone else go home.
This is priceless
When suddenly remembering something stupid that I did like ten years ago.
I have never seen an more accurate depiction
This is very important if you’re ever in a situation similar this pretend that you’re dead don’t scream and @#!*%
my dad told us this if someone shoots up our school
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS
not even a joke we learned this in Police Explorers and put it on your clothing as well but go quickly because you don’t know where the person is.
i will never not reblog this
The woman on the left is a mother from Miami who was so desperate to feed her hungry family that she was trying to steal a lot of food.
The woman on the right is Miami-Dade County Police Officer Vicki Thomas. Officer Thomas was about to arrest Jessica Robles but changed her mind at the last minute.
Instead of arresting her, she bought Robles $100 worth of groceries:
“I made the decision to buy her some groceries because arresting her wasn’t going to solve the problem with her children being hungry.”
And there’s no denying they were hungry. Robles’ 12 year old daughter started crying when she told local TV station WSVN about how dire their situation was:
“[It’s] not fun to see my brother in the dirt hungry, asking for food, and we have to tell him, ‘There is nothing here.’”
Officer Thomas says she has no question that what she did was right:
“To see them go through the bags when we brought them in, it was like Christmas. That $100 to me was worth it.”
But Officer Thomas did have one request:
“The only thing I asked of her is, when she gets on her feet, that she help someone else out. And she said she would.”
And guess what? The story gets even better.
After word got out about what happened people donated another $700 for Jessica Robles to spend at the grocery store.
And then best of all a local business owner invited her in for an interview and ended up hiring her on the spot as a customer service rep.
She started crying when he told her:
“There’s no words how grateful I am that you took your time and helped somebody out. Especially somebody like me.”
And to think it all started with one veteran police officer trusting her “instinct” instead of going “by the book”.

Ghost Girl (by Kevin Francis Gray)
man but this photoset ignores some of my favorite things about this piece
it gives it more of a story i think
Every time I see this I must reblog!!
Not something I would usually reblog, but it’s so beautiful.
Her name is Kylie Simonds. please don’t forget her name.
Kylie Simonds you are a badass of the highest order and I salute you. I would also like an IV pack for my infusions? You rock, kid.
My brother has a backpack for his IVs too. He doesnt do chemo but for almost 3 years he was on TPN at one point for 20 hours at a time. In order for him to be able to do things he had a special backpack to hold his TPN for him. Having a backpack for IVs is something to be cherished because it gives people freedom from IV poles and such

No but seriously, this is not the same girl we saw in season one.
Korra was arrogant, loud, always willing to fight. She was proud to be the Avatar and she wanted everyone to know it. In this first picture we see her testing the Triple Threat Triad. She knows she’s going to win. She always believed she was going to win because well, she’s the mutha freaking Avatar!
But then we have the shot from this last episode. She’s humbled, quiet, tired of fighting. She feels like she’d failed in some way. Here is the birth of a new generation of air nomads willing to take on the responsibilities of bringing the world balance and peace while she recovers yet she looks so broken. Why? Because that’s her job. I think Korra’s biggest character development is her realizing what being the Avatar is all about.
It’s as if her attitude went from, “Fuck yeah I’m the Avatar!” to “Fuck. Yeah, I’m the Avatar.”
We’ve seen this girl grow from an arrogant bender to a humbled Avatar. If you think Korra is the same as she was in season one, you need to reevaluate your life.
Hey everyone: for those of you who are wondering, the Westboro Baptist Church and gonna bandwagon on he death of Micheal Brown in order to promote even more hateful rhetoric. Please don’t let them do this. If you can, send the people of Ferguson support. If not, then signal boost this as a warning.
